Usage
This template frames CODEN codes for usage inside the |id= parameter in the various {{citation}} and {{cite xxx}} templates, or elsewhere.
The template could be expanded to make the given code available as meta-data or to provide some error checking.
Note: Unfortunately, the linked-to CODEN database does not appear to include all CODENs ever issued.
Parameters
The first parameter should be the CODEN code (alternatively given as |coden=.
- Example 1:

- will result in

- will result in
- Example 3:
- {{CODEN|ABCDE}}
- will result in
- Example 4:
- {{CODEN|ABCD}}
- will result in

- will result in
- Example 6:
- {{CODEN|ABCDEF|FEDCBA}} (up to 9 parameters, don't use coden=)
