English: An ICR cell in an LTQ-FT-ICR mass spectrometer from Thermo-Electron. The ICR cell is made of copper plates arranged in a cylinder shape and are normally installed inside the vacuum manifold. An octopole ion guide, passing from right to left, transmits ions through the magnetic field and into the ICR cell.
