"ब्लैक पर्ल" पर्ल प्रोग्रामिंग लैंग्वेज का उपयोग करके लिखी गई एक कोड पोयम है। इसे 1 अप्रैल 1990 को यूज़नेट पर गुमनाम रूप से पोस्ट किया गया था,[1] और यह पर्ल प्रोग्रामर्स के बीच पर्ल पोयम के एक भाग के रूप में लोकप्रिय है। पर्ल 3 में लिखी गई पोयम एक प्रोग्राम के रूप में एक्सीक्यूट (कंप्यूटिंग) करने में सक्षम है।
एट्रिब्यूशन
जब comp.lang.perl न्यूज़ग्रुप पर पोस्ट किया गया तो पोयम का श्रेय "एक ऐसे व्यक्ति को दिया गया जो गुमनाम रहना चाहता था"।[1] पर्ल के एक अन्य पोएट, शेरोन रौएनज़ाहन (नी हॉपकिंस) पर लेखक होने का संदेह किया गया है, लेकिन तब से उन्होंने इस दावे का खंडन किया है।[2]
प्रोग्राम एक्सीक्यूशन का परिणाम
एक्सीक्यूटेड होने पर, तथा फ़ंक्शन से निकास पर ब्लैक पर्ल, लाइन 1 पर उपस्थित होती है। शेष पंक्तियों को पर्ल इंटरप्रिटर्स द्वारा पार्स किया गया है लेकिन वास्तव में कभी इसका एक्सीक्यूशन नहीं किया गया था। प्रोग्राम कोई आउटपुट नहीं देता है।
चूंकि यह पर्ल 5 के अनुसार पार्स नहीं करेगा, पर्ल 5 में इसे पार्स करने योग्य बनाने के लिए ब्लैक पर्ल के कई इंडिपेंडेंट अपडेट पब्लिश किए गए हैं।[3][4]
